Can you assist with my marketing materials?
Absolutely! For an additional fee, we can create your logo, Facebook or Instagram posts, printed materials, ad placements, or postcard mailings. If you have any other creative ideas for your driving school, we would happily help your dream become a reality!
Can you set up my facebook, intstagram, or google business page?
Absolutely! When signing up, you can select the preferred package, and we will help you set up and link your Google Business, Facebook, and Instagram to your new website.
Can you design a logo for me?
Yes! We'd be happy to create logos, printed materials, ad placements, postcard mailings, or anything else you need.
Software Support
Can I make a suggested feature for future revisions?
Yes, we always welcome suggestions but can not guarantee when or if they will be released in a future revision. We take into consideration the most popular requests and set our priority list. As a drivers ed business owner, your opinions are invaluable, and we encourage you to share your thoughts and ideas to help us make your job easier. Email your suggestions to Software Suggestions
What hours do you have tech support?
Our typical hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 CST. However, if you have an emergency after hours, simply call our office and select the option "4" on our messaging software. Your call will be transferred to one of our account managers. If you should leave a voicemail, we will also receive an email notification of your message, so there is no fear that it won't be listened to until the following business day. You may also email your question; as business owners like you, we are probably working on the weekends, too.
Do you have tutorials on how to use the software?
Yes, we have videos to help you, but we believe having a trainer teach you hands-on is better. We provide refresher videos and have people in the office answering phone calls from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday for any extra help you might need.
What if a student forgets their account password?
If a student forgets their password, they can click the "Forgot your password?" link, which will email the student's account on file. Once the student clicks the link in the email, they will be prompted to enter their email address and a new password, resetting their account password.
How do I change the packages listed on my website?
Modifying the packages on your website is simple. Log in to your software account (as the administrator) and select the "Manage Packages" link on the main page of your Administrator Center. From here, you can add and edit package descriptions or prices for any packages your driving school offers at any time of day or night. There is no need to wait for someone else to help you.
Website Design
Can you help me with my search engine optimization?
Yes. We have many years of experience in search engine optimization. Basic search engine optimization is also included in your initial setup. If you would like additional help placing Pay-per-click or social media campaigns, we have what you need to get the job done right.
Can I use photos of my school and students?
Yes, we would prefer you use your images of your driving school. It creates a more customized look for your website. Just let us know which photos belong on which page and how you would like the images to appear. If you don't have usable photos, we have a variety of stock photo options for you to choose from.
Can you design a website for me?
Yes, you bet we can. We have several themes for you to choose from, and you can make custom changes to these websites. If you have something fully custom in mind, we can design your unique website for an additional fee. Ask your trainer for more details or a quote today!
Will I have website statistics?
Yes, your website will be set up with Google Analytics. We believe having this critical data to help market your site is important. You will receive access to your analytics.
Can my website have an option translate to other languages?
We can add a Google Translate button to your front-end website for students to translate the entire website into whichever language they prefer.
Can I manage the content on my website?
Yes! Many sections of your site are considered dynamic, meaning they pull data from the back-end scheduling software and automatically fill in the information on your public site. These sections include FAQs, Classroom Schedules, Rules and Regulations, Resources, Locations, and more. Most of the other pages in the site can be easily changed using our Webpage Manager tool. This gives you control over adding just the right content to your website whenever you'd like! There is no need to wait for someone else to make your website changes or place a trouble ticket request that may never get resolved. We believe you should be in the driver's seat regarding your website.
How do I get a domain name for my website?
We'll take care of it for you. Registering a domain can be tricky. The registrars make every effort to upsell you along the way for things you don't need. Our company will host your site, enter all server information, and handle your email setup. Just leave domain registration to us. What a 15-minute process is for us could waste an hour or more of valuable time for someone not familiar with the process. All domains are registered with Network Solutions, and you own that domain. We'll also monitor the renewals for you to ensure you don't lose your domain name because it expired.
Pricing & Policies
What is your cancellation policy?
You must provide a written 30-day cancellation notice to Drivers Ed Solutions, LLC. Please provide your reason for canceling service and mail this notice to:

What is your refund policy?
Once you have full access to your production site and training has started, refunds are not available. Refunds might be made on a case-by-case basis. Let us know how we can help you!
Can I charge more than the per-student cost and use it as a revenue stream for my business?
Yes. Because the per-student cost is so low and the value of the software so high, it will be easy for you to justify an increase in the per-student cost and use this to generate additional income for your business. You will be the best judge of what your geographic location will support for the up-charge.
Is there a subscription fee?
Yes, this is a subscription service. There is a per-student registration fee. Invoices are sent on or about the first of the month and are accompanied by a billing report so you know exactly which students you are being billed for. We believe in transparency when it comes to your invoices.
You may pay any invoice by mailing a check to us or using a credit or debit card in your Administrator Center by clicking the link "Pay Your Invoice."
Is there a website hosting fee?
If you have a minimum of 10 student registrations per month, website hosting is included with your monthly invoice at no extra cost. We will charge you a $50 hosting fee if you have fewer than ten monthly registrations.
What will it cost for future upgrades to the software?
Nothing! It is our way of continually providing outstanding service to our clients. We want you to be happy. Anytime we can improve our software, we want everyone to share in the upgrades at no cost.
We believe in no man left behind. We upgrade all clients to the newest version and provide instructions on making the most of these new features.
Can I try your scheduling software for free?
No, but you can experience all the software has to offer and ask any questions you have when you schedule a test drive!
We may be able to offer you access to our demo site to kick the tires, but this is on a case-by-case basis and at the discretion of Driver's Ed Solutions owners.
Software Features
Is my data backed up?
Yes, we have redundant databases, so there are always two completely up-to-date copies. Your data is backed up nightly, and we keep a copy for three days on a rotating basis.
Can my instructors schedule their work hours or do I determine their work hours?
Which would you prefer? Because you can have it either way. Some schools want their instructors to be flexible and add their availability. Some schools want a more structured schedule so they can call the shots. The beauty of this software is that you can make your own decisions based on your company settings.
Do you offer geographic exclusivity?
No, we do not offer our software exclusively to a particular area. However, we do not actively seek out your competition to gain more business. Our services are available to all driving schools. We believe in making everyone's life as easy as possible; sometimes, that might mean your competitors. If they reach out to us, we'll be happy to help.
As a matter of fact, many new clients have come from referrals of current clients using our software. It's that good; they are happy to help their fellow driving school owners.
Is the software compatible on a mobile device?
The software looks great on desktop and iPad screen sizes. If you provide your instructors with a tablet in the car, they can take attendance and update the students' performance before they even pull back into the office—everything is up-to-date for you or the parents.
Does your software work with multiple school districts or regions?
Yes. You may set up as many districts/regions as you need. The software will propagate the public front-end site to include all the school districts you cover.
Can I ask you to create a custom report for me?
Yes, of course. We'll want you to contact one of our trainers, and we may invite one of our developers for a brainstorming session. You need to have a well-thought-out request for the reports you require. The reports may be already in the system. We can discuss what type of data you'd like pulled for your report and what it will entail.
Is there a limit to the number of students or instructors I can have?
No. The software is designed to give you the flexibility to grow your business, allowing you to add unlimited students, instructors, and locations.
Can the software limit the time between driving lessons?
Yes. If you want to set the software to limit the number of days between driving lessons, you can do so. You can limit them to one or two weekly drives or require 30 days between drives.
You hold the key to setting up your behind-the-wheel rules as you want them. You can even have different settings for different regions.
Will the software still work well for me if I am a small school?
Yes. This software is designed especially to help the small driving school. It's difficult to be in all places at once. The software will become your virtual receptionist and help you with scheduling, cancellation, and registration situations. Being a sole proprietor, you need all the help you can get. Best of all, you won't have to cut a payroll check for your new receptionist.
What if I accidentally deleted a student or instructor account or an upcoming course?
Sometimes, you click around way too fast and ignore the pop-ups and warning signs. Before you know it, you've just blown away some important data. No worries. The sooner you contact us, the easier it is to restore the "oops," and you get back to square one. We've got your back.
Software Setup
How do I get started?
Congratulations and thank you! Go to our sign-up page, enter your information, select your package, and place your $150 deposit. Shortly after receiving your sign-up, you will receive an email and access to a production site. Follow the instructions in your welcome email for onboarding. It's easy to set up training sessions with one of our instructors.
Does your software work on all types of computers and internet browsers?
Yes, our websites and software are designed to be cross-compatible with Macs or PCs and browser compatible with Google, Safari, Firefox, etc.
Do I own my website domain?
Yes, all domains you request are registered in your business's name. We are the administrative and technical contacts on your account. When your domain is up for renewal, we will also take care of that and bill you on your next invoice. You never need to worry about your domain expiring. All domains are registered at least 5-year intervals to get the best value for you.
Can I use my Gmail email account?
We prefer that you use a domain-based email address. For instance, if your business website address is www.XYZDrivingschool.com, you and your employees should have email accounts such as YourName@XYZdrivingschool.com. We want you to market your driving school's website with every email you send. Why would you want to promote Gmail? We provide virus-scanned, spam-filtered, domain-based email for your business. Plus, you can set it up on your smartphone, Outlook, or Thunderbird.
Can I continue to use my existing website?
Yes, there is an option for you to keep your current website and add a registration button. We can also create a website that takes your favorite parts of your old website with the best parts of our software to create your dream website!
Am I required to take online payments on my website?
No, but it does limit the software from doing its job properly. Customers prefer to take care of business all at once if they can. By having them bring in a check, cash flow is delayed, and it is a manual process to log the cash or check payments on the student account. When you take credit cards, the payment is automatically logged to the correct student account, and the money is on its way to your bank account. We've heard from customers that once they took credit cards, parents paid in full for services rather than the minimum deposit required. We recommend you have your merchant account, and we can certainly set that up for you.
Do I need a merchant vendor for online payments?
Yes. We require you to use our preferred merchant vendor because the software is already designed to use their API to process credit cards. There are monthly fees for processing credit cards, and rates may vary for various reasons. You will receive all pricing and fee quotes before moving forward. Our preferred vendor is SHIFT4.
Do I have to download special software to use it?
No. That's the beauty of this software. It's all web-based, so you can modify your site anywhere you have a computer, tablet, or phone as long as you have internet access.
How long does it take to set up my new website and software?
Much of it depends on how quickly can you give us your time and attention to obtain the necessary information. Your website can be set up in about four to eight weeks from signing up and agreeing to the terms of service.
To produce your website promptly, we need to receive your down payment and relevant content for your business, such as package pricing, photos, staff bios, terms of service, rules, and regulations.
The more you make yourself available to learn the software with our instructor, the sooner your website can go live! You'll seldom be waiting on us to get back to you. The ball will be in your court to keep things rolling.
Can I use my existing merchant account?
There are two pieces to accepting credit cards. One is the processor, and one is the gateway. If your current processor is NMI. The answer is yes.
We use NMI for the processor and Shift4 for the gateway. If you have neither, we require you to use our preferred merchant vendor (SHIFT4) because the software is designed to use their API to process credit cards using a three-step redirect method for payment processing. The Three Step Redirect is the preferred method for web developers because it reduces the merchant's PCI footprint while maintaining the user experience.
There are monthly fees for processing credit cards, and rates may vary for various reasons. Our vendor offers very competitive pricing. Often, our clients end up saving money by switching. You will receive all pricing and fee quotes before moving forward.
